TROPiCON 22: Darwin, Australia

TROPiCON was held on Saturday October 1st, 2022 at the Darwin Entertainment Centre

Salty Games proudly attended the Geek Culture Collective’s inaugural industry event to showcase a very early demo. Great to see such a variety of indie developers in Darwin. Huge talent coming through.

What a geektacular turn out:

  • Cosplay Competition and Parade (Novice through advanced)

  • Programmed Pen and Paper (P&PRPG) role play games including dungeons and dragons, star wars roleplay and Paizo Pathfinder or Starfinder games

  • Board games such as Settlers of Catan and Blood on the Clock Tower

  • Painting workshops for miniatures including Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar

  • Showcase table featuring Warhammer 40k Apoc

  • Esports competitions, including an ALL STARS EVENT in MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) and action sports, novice through advanced, with prizes to be announced

  • Gaming hub (free to play for all event attendees)

  • Video game design studio drop in hub

  • Territory built video games

  • Exhibitors and stalls for example sponsor pop up shops, cosplay repairs, and collectibles

  • Artist Alley and Competition

The Geek Culture Collective community put on an amazing show. Well Done. So much fun all around.
